VCP-IaaS Exam Experiences

I just did the VCP-IaaS exam this week at VMworld i Barcelona, and passed :-). I got 120 minutes (English is not my native language). The Exam has 85 questions. To pass the exam you will need to know how networking is setup and used in vCloud Director also roles in Chargeback will be a good thing to look at before taking the test. All in all you will have to know the products use with vCloud Director including vShield Edge. I used trainsignal and some online resources to prepare for the test, have a look at my VCP5-IaaS study guide for links to the sites I found to be good resources. VMW-LGO-CERTIFIED-PRO-CLOUD-K

How to backup VMware vCenter Server Virtual Appliance (VCSA) with Veeam

When you use Veeam to backup a vCenter cluster that is running on vSphere 5.x VCSA, there is a chance you will get an error when trying to backup the VCSA it self. This only applies when you have Enable VMware tools quiescence in you backup job. One way to backup the VCSA is to make a separate job for the VCSA and uncheck “Enable VMware tools quiescence” in this job. Another way is to disable it from within the eg. “cluster backup job”.
First Edit the job containing the VCSA in the step called “Guest Processing” click the “Advanced” button.
